An international humanitarian organization, Red Cross International, has partnered with the Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB, to combat Coronavirus pandemic and alleviate hunger in the Old Eastern region of Nigeria.

IPOB had announced provision of medical relives and centres, and donated over 40,000 bags of rice and other food items to people in the Southeast and Southsouth.

Leader of Red Cross International Afaraukwu-Umuahia branch, Chief Ejikemeuwa Okezie, said the group “acknowledged immensely the good work IPOB is doing to alleviate hunger” and also promised to assist in distributing medical relives to their appropriate places.
