Igbo youths has disagreed with the leader of the proscribed indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, over looming war with other tribes in Nigeria.
It was reported that the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo youths has reversed and dumped the motive of the proscribed group fighting for freedom to secure separation from Nigeria.
They insisted never to be in support to wage war against any tribe in Nigeria.
As written below:
“We are Ohanaeze ndi Igbo youths, not IPOB. We’re not at war with any tribe in Nigeria and no individual or group can force us into war with any tribe in Nigeria. It’s obvious what IPOB members want from us is to engage into tribal war with either Yoruba or Hausa Fulani.
Ohanaeze ndi Igbo is a respectable organization in Nigeria and we, the youth wing of the organization cannot engage in what will jeopardize the image of Ohanaeze ndi Igbo in general. We are civilized, cultured and mannered.
“What our fathers, the Ohanaeze ndi Igbo council of Elders did not engage in, we cannot engage ourselves into.
We’ve paid courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari few weeks ago and we look forward to the promises he made to better our region. We call on everyone to join hands in moving Igbo land forward and Nigeria in general”
