The newly appointed Apex Leader of Ndigbo in the Lagos State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Jude Emeka Idimogu, has declared that his party, All Progressive Congress is the only vehicle to take Ndigbo to 2023 presidency.
As politicians in the southeast prepared to take the leadership of the country in the next general election, Idimogu has advised that APC will make it happen for them.
The lawmaker, who represents Oshodi/Isolo State Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has said that Ndigbo should join his beloved party, APC to enable them clinch the Presidency, after many years.
He was commenting on complaints of marginalisation by the Igbo and other parts of the Southeast regarding political disparity in the country.
The lawmaker boasted that other political parties in the country cannot and will not take Ndigbo to emerge as president of Nigeria, but only the APC can do it.
He stated further that only complain of being marginalised is not enough.
According to him: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or any other party in Nigeria cannot guarantee the Presidency for the Ndigbo. They need to embrace the APC to be relevant, politically. We cannot continue to complain of being marginalised when we remain members of parties that are in opposition to the ruling party at the state and federal levels,” Idimogu said when he visited Eze Ndigbo of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Eze Nwajiofor Okoli.
