Former Executive Chairman of Umuahia North Local Government Council cum Public Affairs Analyst, Reverend Sam Ekeledo has dismissed the Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief Don Ubani and the Ukwa-Ngwa group for criticising the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Orji over his visit to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, describing them as bunch of unserious people who are seeking political relevance.
Speaking in an interview with the NewsCritic online, the one-time General Manager/CEO Abia Transport Corporation stressed that these politicians deliberately want to create this scenario in order to hold and establish their relevance out of nothing.
Revd Ekeledo maintained that as Abians we can’t consider the situation serious since the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has not made any statement in that wise. He stressed that if the governor feels offended by the visit of the Speaker to Orji Kalu, he will make a categorical statement.
“So I’m saying that the governor should react if there is an issue, for me there is nothing going on”. “Political jobbers are just wasting their time…there is nothing amiss, he submits.
He said that Abia people should be more concerned on why there is no benefit of good governance in the state five years after they came to power. “We should ask ourselves why we are backward in infrastructure. Why should after 35 years in the service a civil servant will go home with no benefit?
“He visited Kalu so what about it, Ekeledo queried. Our focus should be how we can get our state working again, everybody is crippled, he laments.
