H.R.H Chief Amos Ewa, the Village head of Odu has reportedly been assassinated by suspected bandits in Nasarawa State.

It was gathered that some suspected assasins came into the palace of the Chief of Odu Village, Udege Development Area, Nasarawa at about 9pm on Friday night, July 31, 2020 and opened fire on the Monarch, killing him instantly.

According to reports, Chief Ewa’s remains was found within the village premises, with atleast ten (10) bullet wounds on his chest.

Chief Ewa was a retired Police officer and a dedicated Christian Education Leader of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Odu.

He was described as a vibrant and outspoken leader who fought against the invasion of kidnappers and Fulani Herders.

A source who narrated the development, expressed displeasure, stating that the Chief was quite steadfast in fighting against Kidnappers.

“I once had a chat with him, so energetic and youthful, intelligent and ready to unite the village and fight against the menace of fulani herders invasion, kidnapping and killings by one fulani thug., Hack Open His Neck In Ohaji (Viewers)

“Now, investigations are yet to commence and we fear it may not yield anything as we know how it is being politicized and the villagers had their suspicions already,” the source said.
