The National Chairman of the Edo PDP Campaign Council and the Executive Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has relocated to Benin City, the Edo State Capital less than 24 hours to the Edo State Governorship election.
Governor Wike minutes after he arrived was welcomed by the Edo PDP campaign team who were already on ground to receive him.
Wike didn’t waste time to begin the task that brought him to Edo State which is to ensure Godwin Obaseki the candidate of the PDP wins the election. The Rivers State born politician is already taking tough ahead of tomorrow’s election. While addressing the PDP campaign members in Edo, Wike told them that he hasn’t come to stay for one day but that he will be here till the election finishes.
He urged them not to rely on statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari on ensuring a free and fair election as he has personally witnessed what such statement truly means in Rivers State. He urged the people to be extra vigilant as this election will define their political future in Edo State.
He urged them to follow them once the begin to move from one polling unit to the other and never give any excuse.
According to Wike, if they want to kill all of us, let them as it will be in the history of Nigeria. The tomorrow election is expected to be tough in Edo State as the PDP and APC are doing everything to win the election.
