Nigerian lawyer and politician, Femi Fani Kayode, has expressed his view on the ongoing Fulani eviction saga.
The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has issued an ultimatum to all the Fulani people living in his State and this has caused a lot of controversies in the country.
Weighing in on the matter, FFK said he doesn’t support the ideal that all Fulani should be given a quit notice from anywhere in the country. Rather, he supports that all Killer herdsmen should be given a quite notice and also apprehended.
FFK said that the herdsmen that are killing people in the South West, South South, South East, and Middle Belt are also the same ones that are ravaging people in the North West and North East.
He said the only difference is that in the South and Middle Belt they are called herdsmen, while in the North they are called Bandits: they do not carry out the Agenda of the Fulanis but works for themselves.
Kayode said all Fulanis are not the herdsmen killing people in the country. So therefore, he would defend the right of any law abiding Fulani.
Because we all must be our brothers keeper and look out for the interest of one another. FFK said he would fight for the right of any region or ethnic in the country whenever the need arises.
