The Bende Legislative Council today Tuesday the 2nd of February 2021 has cleared and Confirmed the 7 Supervisor nominees now Supervisor designate forwarded to the house by the Executive Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Hon Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa.
This was as a result of the screening exercise that was conducted for the 7 nominees now Designate by the committe set up by the Legislative body and Chaired by the Deputy Leader, Hon. Kanu Joseph Nkeiruka.
The Deputy leader during plenary presented the Committee’s report and observations and urged the house to confirm their Nomination.
The report reads thus:
“The 7 Supervisor nominees appeared at exactly 11am on Monday for their screening at the office of the Majority Leader, Hon. Emeka Agbara.
From the interaction the honourable members had with them, they are men and women of great minds, self confidence, tested and trusted.
Also,they are great members of the party who contributed immensely for the success of PDP during election.
They are great supporters of His Excellency Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu led administration and that of our amiable Chairman, Hon. Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa
The party membership and qualities of all the 7 nominees were confirmed by councilors representing their various wards.
The Leader therefore directed the clerk of the house, Chief Ray Anyaso to write a letter to the Executive Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa asking him to proceed with the swearing in of the cleared Supervisors while charging them to be up and doing in discharging the duties that will be assigned to them.
