It is no longer news that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria
IPMAN South East Zone, and Tanker Drivers has called off the Fuel Strike embarked upon by the Union over a face off between it’s members and the Imo State Government led by Senator Hope Uzodinma.
The strike which had brought untold hardship caused by the 3-weeks of petroleum products scarcity in Imo and neighboring Abia State was called off today by the Union.
The scarcity of fuel/hike in price extended to other Eastern states like Abia before the intervention of the Senator.
Our Correspondent gathered that the man who brokered the peace between the Petroleum Marketers and Imo State Government was Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba , the APC Governorship candidate for the Anambra November Governorship Election.
It was gathered that Senator Andy Uba had personally reached out to the Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma and arranged for a meeting between the Governor and the Petroleum Marketers, the outcome of the meeting was the calling off of the strike by NUPENG.
